How to Build a Customer Service QA Scorecard
A scorecard is not better because it is longer. Pick 6-10 behaviors the business actually cares about, define observable positive and negative examples, then validate in calibration. Weight by risk, with compliance, privacy and safety first.
Six steps
List the 10 highest-risk scenarios.
Turn each into observable behaviors.
Write anchors for 1/3/5 scores.
Set weights and veto items.
Test-score 10 historical tickets.
Run calibration and record disputes.
FAQ
How many items?
Start with 6-10; beyond 15 is usually hard to score consistently.
